Still assuming your subs are svc 4ohm.

the other problem, you paid way to much for that kit.

How bout you give us the numbers right from the sub. The site says 3oow for the pair, so 150w each.... that seems really low for subs
what number do you need? the item # is 10C104

----------

also the subs are 4 ohm each if that helps?

yeah that number means C for comp. 10 for 10" and 4 is 4ohm. Take the speaker out and look at the +,- is there one or two sets?

Here's a list of amps, there from 500-1000rms, so pick and choose one you like that's rated a 600rms at 2ohm. And youll be good. You might be able to get away with a little higher one like 700rms at 2ohms , but it's not good for your subs...

NO ! You are wrong ! here is the link again to what the OP is wanting -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/93-03-Ford-R...item336518d2ce

The subwoofers are 4 ohm SVC 150 watts RMS each. The amp outputs 300 watts RMS into a 2 ohm load. Perfect match. End of story. Why on earth would you guys recommend a 600-1000 watt amp ?

no no no, the subs are rated at 300rms each!!! read the ebay posting description!!
the amp that comes with the kit puts out 300rms. so each sub is underpowered by 150 watts!!
http://knowledge.sonicelectronix.com...woofer-wiring/
fill out the info,
subs-2
# of vc- single vc
impediamce-4 ohms
amp type- mono
that creates a 2 ohm load on the amp!!!
and if you read my description, i said so pick and choose one you like that's rated at 600rms at 2ohm. And youll be good. thats 300 rms to each sub at a 2ohm load, the recommend RMS of each sub!!
thats what the guy wanted to know, if he could get a bigger amp and he can!!

he can keep that amp and run it at its max of 600 watts to power the subs right, but it will blow soon... if thats what your trying to get at.....?

no it wont... he'd have to be doing some serious power to it for it to blow.

It will not be underpowered. Example... my two 10's are rated for UP TO 450 watts RMS... it i being powered by an Audiobahn 250 watt... thats 250 watts RMS period. My subs perform just fine... and hell I could prob compete with that setup. So I say for the 3rd time. His setup is JUST FINE.

RMS ratings are judged by constant power over a long period of time. Its lab conditions and will have little bearing in the practical world. You cant go by just what it says on a box. You gotta factor all the things in and from what Ive seen and what the op has stated... I deduct his setup will work perfectly for what he wants. The end.

You are wrong ! It is saying the subs handle 300 watts RMS together ! They are 150 watts RMS each ! Those are basic Kicker subs and I have dealt with them several times in the past ! They are 4 ohms each and wired together correctly they present a 2 ohm load to the amp, which outputs 300 watts RMS to a 2 ohm load ! Perfect ! I will post a link to the same sub on the Crutchfield site -
