Default Stereo install - VSS and Backup wires

I've been searching but haven't figured it out yet...

On a 2010 where/how would you tap into the Vehicle Speed Sensor and Backup signal wire for a GPS/Stereo install?

Found the OHC that says 2009 is violet/orange. Is 2010 the same? Where is best place to tap?

Haven't found much for the backup wire?

Help please

I got it done. Tapped into the reverse lamp at the tail and the vss at the speed control servo under the hood. If anyone could use the info post here and I'll put more details.

I realize that this thread hasn't been touched in over a year, but I find myself in the same position as the originator. So, in the hopes you are still around, what wires (colors?) did you actually wind up connecting to for your reverse sense? Also, where did you get power for your camera? Did you just power off the backup line, or did you get keyed power from somewhere else?

You can find the VSS wire at the power train control module in the middle plug in pin #1. The PTCM is in the engine compartment on the passenger firewall. You can also get it at the speed control servo (as stated above by another poster) on the passenger fender. Black 10 pin plug. Pin #3. It's color should be Purple with an Orange stripe. The reverse wire is Brown with a yellow stripe and can be tagged at the light or somewhere in the frame harness. As far as powering the cam you can do it just off of the back up light so it will only come on when reverse is initiated or if your unit has the ability to switch to the camera at anytime (to watch a trailer or something while in tow) when not in reverse you can run a switched wire so the camera will have power whenever the key is on and you can switch to the cam without being in reverse. Hope this helps.
