Default Need some help with Audio

My last ranger i had 3 12's in the back rendering the jumper seats useless. Im about to be picking up another ranger and id like to have some type of subwoofers in there, but still be able to use the jump seats. Im thinking 2 10's, each in their own box directly under the seats. I have heard mixed opinions on shallow firing subs, so i was wondering if shallow firing subs would be my only option here, and if so, which ones sound the nicest.

P.S. If this has been discussed before, can someone send me the link to the thread. Any helps appreciated.

While it is not 2 10s or anything, I find the Basslink perfect for me. Here is JayFX4's Basslink set-up:

I did in my last Ranger, but it was set up differently. I had it behind the driver's seat as I did not plan on having anyone sit behind me. Was perfect for the space and I could still toss a bunch of crap behind my seats and recline with it back there.

Ok i have another question... The Basslink is nice, but theres a basslink II out now thats looks nicer in my opinion and has a little more power to it. The dimension for the original Basslink are 14.5 in x 8.5 in x 12.5 inches while the Basslink II is 8.8 in x 15.1 in x 15.3 inches...

Will this still fit where the one in the link was located at?

Also, what do you think about this? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...07TCVT122.html

Height 13-1/4"
Width 21-1/2"
Depth 3-9/16"

Would that fit? Under the seat while its layed out that is. I wish i had the truck right now lol or else i wouldn't be bothering you guys with these questions and id take some damn measurements myself.

PS: Im sooo stoked for this truck. my first truck ever was a 95 splash edition ranger so i definitely have a spot in my heart for em. Haha this ones more of a monster though, 2000 XLT (4.0) with a 4" Suspension lift, 3" body lift, 35" mud tires, brush guard, 4x4 lights... ahh i cant wait...

Heres my first truck btw.

I have seen the basslink II, but I have not seen reviews or anything. Shoot Jay FX4 a PM and I'm sure he will get you some measurements to see if it will fit on his set up.

That box will not fit under the seat, Tom and I squeezed this under his seat:

Dimensions:
Height (inches): 2.8 inches
Width (inches): 9.8 inches
Depth (inches): 13.7 inches

Sorry for not bein able to make up my mind, But... ive decided to just sacrifice one of the jumper seats so that i can have some real bass.

This:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001CI70DO/...O&linkCode=asn

Paired with:
http://www.amazon.com/Kicker-08ZX100...f=pd_rhf_p_t_1

Will work together right? Been a while since ive done anything car audio and i cant remember anything to save my life

20.8 x 17.8 x 20.8 inches ; 65.4 pounds are the specs of the woofer/box. Now, i can put that in the truck without spacing problems, or once again, am i wrong?

*** A little off topic, but, if im offroading and get some water in the interior... if the water hits the ground of the speakers am i fucked? (Obviously if it hits the amp im done for. )

Once again sorry for being so indecisive, really do appreciate your help though.

You are now out of my range of knowledge on audio. But that combo looks like it should work. You may want to fab together a little stand for the box so it sits flush with the rear of the cab as there is a lip at the base of the rear wall of the cab. Otherwise it looks like the box will fit fine. Also with the stand you could mount the amp below. Water hitting the ground should not be a problem as far as I know. I am a lot of stuff grounded on the engine bay which has been doused with mud and water.
