Default Trouble Running Amp Wires!

Hey. I have all Kenwood stuff in my truck( with the exception of my CD deck.. Its Sony Xplode) Im having trouble getting my battery wire from my amp thru the firewall to then hook up to the battery. There are no holes or openings in the firewall big enough to fit or even put it thru. Im thinking of drilling a hole but I dont know where to drill at as I dont want to end up messing up my truck, leaving a big air hole. I can and will post pictures if requested or if it helps. All the other wireing I pretty much got down ( the Remote start & the sub in) I just need to run it under the carpet and edges of the truck. Im hoping to finish this as of today, but as long as it gets done by saturday its all

1996 Ford Ranger XLT. Reg. Cab Long Bed 2WD.
SONY CDX-RA700 Deck With New Kenwood Door Speakers, 1800w Kenwood amp & two 1400w 12' Kenwood subs in a front vented speakerbox. Other then that STOCK.... Yea I know... Mods coming soon (Bout the time the money does)
But U Bet It Bumps!

Hey man! I'm not much of an expert on this, but alot of guys, (Including myself) run their wire through the rubber grommet that is just behind the E-brake on the drivers side. And then route the wire under the door trim to wherever they want to go with it. Like this first picture... Sorry it's blurry!..

I don't know what size wire you are running, so that hole might not be big enough. Another thing that they do if they are running bigger wire, is drill a hole right next to that grommet. Like this...

If you do something like that ^^^ you will probabely have to remove the engine fuse box to be able to route your wire and drill that hole. Hope that helps a bit!...

i believe there is one over the brake pedal area in my 99. thats where my wire is ran through. If you decide to drill make sure its not much bigger then it needs to be and seal it with caulk or something similar.

Use a rubber grommet to put the wire thru. You don't wanna take a chance on metal chaffing the insulation off the wire.
