Aftermarket deck for 2011 XLT
I have a brand new 2011 XLT, which comes with a CD/MP3 deck but was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on a better deck that would have a nice big screen and would fill out that entire space. I want to use the most of it.
ALSO: Would this void my warranty? Just wondering cause they still have to fix a small component that isn't working right. Let me know! Thanks in advance!

Re: Aftermarket deck for 2011 XLT
Pioneer and Alpine make some really nice double din decks
Alpine Double Din installed
What small component do they have to fix?
It wont void your warranty unless they can prove the new radio caused the damage.

Re: Aftermarket deck for 2011 XLT
It's the control for the turn/hazard lights that is inside the steering wheel housing. Nothing to do with the radio. I already have it on order. :-P Won't cost me a dime.
I am in Germany right now, on an American post, but there is an authorized Ford shop that is right off-post. So that's where I'm getting it fixed.
I was looking at the pinoneer, and really like that one. Any other recommendations?

I think I might just go get a hi-speed navigon or Garmin at our PX or something. But I will definitely keep looking.

Depends on the features you want in a new head. If you order from Crutchfield, they will send a free install kit and wiring harness adaptor with the new head.
Do you want DVD, USB, AUX, iPod control, satellite radio, etc. or what all ?

I guess Crutchfield says that it comes with the appropriate modification with the purchase.

Sorry, Crutchfield says DD units will not fit in the 2011. Probably a depth issue.
