you can only change your sub volume and change between three sub frequency settings with your head unit

can i chang it in a way like u do for the base? kinda like that? and thanks guys

iv got a 94 ford ranger. most baisic truck u can ever get. no power stearing. manual locks and windows. got a JVC KDR200, with a pair of Pyle 6" X 8" Blue Label 3-Way Speakers and wired an antennna. its a 2.3L 4 banger, with a 5 speed manual transmission. it had 117,400 miles on it wen i got it. i plan on dropping it a few inches. in the procces of repainting the interior. i want new headlights and taillights and paint my factory rims black. plan on getting a cheap sub and put in it.

A low pass filter blocks out the higher frequencies. You don't want high frequencies going to your sub since a sub is not designed to reproduce those frequencies anyway, and it'll sound better and be more efficient if you're just sending it the frequencies you want it to.

I believe most aftermarket head units have a low pass filter for the subwoofer outputs.

ok thanks man...and i finally got the sub. its a mtx blue thunder. any one no anything bout them?

you mean a switch to shut off amp and sub so they wont play with the radio runnin? how much would the switch be? my grandpa bought a truck and it has a switch in it so i might ask him for it xp
