Are Alpine decks and speakers any good? Im looking to get a deck that hooks up to my ipod and can control my ipod through the deck, and some new speakers in the front.

I have an Alpine CDE-102 head unit, and Im in love with it. It was a little more one the pricy side, but it works great and makes my little Infinity 5x7's bump. Im picking up some JL 6x9 this week, and I am thinking the Alpine will really shine with those.

Love my Alpine, minus the bluetooth not being compatible with many phones, but that may have changed since I last checked. I run an iDA-X100. No CD player, but I got it for the iPod interface.

Alpine makes good stuff. So do other companies, too.

first holiday i had it was 4th of july and soon as key in "happy 4th of july!" and it showed the eagle in stars and stripes and had fireworks going off in the background.
