Default Shallow Subs

I've seen a bunch of threads about what kind of subs people wanted and all that, but I'm looking for shallow subs. I have a 96 XLT regular cab so obviously not a ton of room. One of my friends suggested cutting a hole behind the seats to the bed and all this other stuff but Im not trying to hack my truck up for subs. Anyway Im looking for either 2 10s that'll seat one behind each seat or just a single 12 behind the passanger and the amp and all would go behind the drivers seat. Anyway my question is what are some good brands for the shallow subs and how much would they cost me compared to regular subs? And for any of you who have them set up in your truck do you have to sit with the sits up real far? My seats slid as far back as it can be so Im not licking the stearing wheel and not sure if that'll be a problem. Thanks for any help in advance

pioneer is your best bet for their shallow mount subs... I think they only need like 3 inches mounting depth and have a box volume of .31-.7

Default kicker subwoofer

kicker shallow mount sound mucher better than the pioneers, and they actually handle more power too, i have a 10"CVT behind my passenger seat and a 400 watt alpine amp and it hits soo hard, i cant even use my rearview mirror anymore, im new to this site so if i figure out how i will upload some pics

I have the Memphis S-Class subs. They come in 10" or 12" and require less than 3"s. They hit just as hard as a normal sub with the same rms/peak. I am pushing 1000 rms into my two ten, and I havnt blown them yet.

I also have a single 10" Kicker Comp VT. It is loud. The sound quality is pretty good. It does have a bit of an internal rattle with the sub, but I hear most kickers have that.
Overall I would give it a 7.5/10.

My '97 and your '96 have the same cab dimensions and if you want me to send you the dimensions of my box or amp rack or something just ask.

If I were to redo my system, I would try and find a way to afford and fit in a 12" JL or alpine sub.

^^ Gives you room to slide your seat all the way back, and all the way down.
