thats a really good diagram
one thing i found on my ranger is that i didnt have to drill a hole or find a hole in
the firewall i found a rubber thing (in the back) that just popped out and i popped it out and cut a hole in it.
another thing though you really dont need a capacitor for the most part they are useless unless it has a volt meter on it just my .02 though

Wheres the best place to run the battery lead to amp through the firewall? I have a 98. Doing system soon, just want a heads up where to look.

better if both cables were coming off cap any way left of steerin colom above clutch is perfect and flat i ran 0 gauge threw mine

Local car audio shop. You could probably get away with 4 gauge unless you plan on adding more power/amps later
