Default Is this O.E.M. or after-market? (picture inside)

Ok every newbie has to ask one stupid question, so here's mine: this is not the stock radio that my newly purchased 2002 Ranger left the assembly line with, is it?

I kinda thought so but my last new Ford was a 1993, so I thought there was a super slim chance FoMoCo started using Pioneer units at the factory in this decade....hahha oh well. It sounds good, just wish I could figure out how to set the time

Did it say Pioneer on the front? I know my 03 XL it ws on the label when you pulled it out.

Some ranger/explorer radios have PIONEER right on the front of the radio

2002 explorer sport radio actually just the face. in a 98 ranger

^^HAHAHA...that's Justin's truck!

Yeah...If I recall correctly, there was a base stereo system. Top of the line was the Pioneer 'Tremor' package. Then there was an in-between option that was available on the XLT's and Edges, which I believe those labeled pioneer on the front came from.

Mine looked exactily like that but its weird cuz it didnt say Pioneer on the front. When you take it out it was labled on the bar code sticker with the ford motor company logo. Mine is an Edge too.

Google the brand and model, I'm sure you can find a PDF file for the owner's manual. You can find just about any manual online now.

When I first got my Ranger I was fooled for a minute. I assumed since it had the 6-disc changer that it was the Pioneer system, but it didn't say Pioneer on it anywhere. Not the case.
The Pioneer was top of the line. The other changer was Ford.

No way Pioneer wouldn't plaster their name on their stuff.
