Regular Cab Rear Speakers - Behind Seats?
I'm in the process of upgrading my entire system, one component at a time. I'm looking at speakers now. My Ranger didn't come equipped with rear speakers. (You know, the ones right behind the seats.) I do have the speaker grilles, and I'm willing to put some speakers in there. But is there actually a point in rear speakers in a regular cab truck? I mean, does it really sound all that great to have speakers right behind the seats? I would hate to go through all the trouble and money, just to have the fade adjusted all the way to the front all the time. Any thoughts?

Depending on what speakers you get it will be worth it or not worth it.
Cheap speakers would probably be lousy.

You could mod the opening a little. And install a set of
6.5 sub-woofers in the back
I did that to my truck (although a supercab)
and LOVE the way it sounds now!

Yeah! I was considering rigging up some subs back there somehow. I just wasn't sure if it could be done. Christianguy: could you give me a little more info on exactly what you did? Like, what speakers did you use? Do you have any photos?

I installed Pyramid 6.5 sub-woofers /300watt rating
that I purchased from Amazon
(They got an excellent review)
I am using UNDER 50watts and they sound awesome!
The stock rear speaker opening was a tad tight,
So I cut open the hole a little larger,
And fit the subs right in!

Re: Regular Cab Rear Speakers - Behind Seats?
New here. Just wondering what size speakers are behind the seats?
Are they the same as the door one? (5x7 6x8)

How did you enlarge the opening? Dremel or something else? I'm probably going to do this and get those exact woofers
