Default 2007 Ranger XLT radio install NEED HELP!!

Hey guys. Im trying to install a JVC head unit in my 07 ranger. I ordered a harness fo it so i wouldnt have to cut any wires. This is where the question comes in....
On the back of my factory cd player there are two plugs. One fits my wiring harness. The other one is more square and only has 4 wires running to it. Ive tried searching everywhere, and ive come up with nothing. What is this plug? Is it needed?

I just replaced my factory radio a few weeks ago with a JVC and it had the extra plug that I didn't use, believe it is for the factory amp and the Sirius Satellite Radio.

Ok wow. Im so dumb. After messing with this thing all day i finally decided to reach in the dash and try to feel where the wires go. All four wires go straight to the axillary plug beneath the radio. Just to be sure I hooked the OEM radio back up but didnt connect the plug in question. No music from the ipod. Connected the plug and the music was back. Oh well, the day wasnt completely wasted. I did install 4 new Rockford Fosgate 6x8s. They sound pretty nice!

ford just them there, even on trucks without the amp because they dont have to make multiple harnesses for their trucks. so the wires are attatched, but do nothing. ignore them. and use the ordered harness.
