options on audio upgrades.
i have an 86 ext ranger, that has a cheapo aftermarket stereo, and the stock dash and side wall speakers. im trying to think of a good combo that would work well with the cab space. i was thinking of putting tweeters into the dash (optional). upgrading the two rear ones to some better components. i have a 12" bostwick pro sub with 300w rating, i was thinking of putting a single box behind my drivers seats, and making a custom center console to hold one 10" sub. would this sound okay? i like bass that hits, but not overpowering the mids and highs. to do that is was thinking of leaving the subs sealed instead of ported so itd hit lower ranges and sharper, but how much does that affect the loudness? i will also replace the stereo during this switch tooo. can anyone point me in a good directio? i also have a pair of 4" components is could replace with the tweeters, and some 6" components from road master, it get pics of some of the stuff i got.
last question, how muich amperage could my alternator take? itd only be a 300w amp, but i have a 1000w one too. thx guys!
