Can't find the remote wire in my 98 ford ranger?? :(
Someone help.! I can't find the remote wire in my 1998 ford ranger, trying to set up my subs..

If its the stock unit there isn't one...usually its blue

if memory serves the remote wire is just a 12v line the accesory wire should work am i right? someone will probably chime in

yellow is the 12v power i think. you can tap into that for a remote line.
check the wire diagram. if that is the power thats the wire to use

You need to tap into a key hot at the least. If you tap into the yellow or constant your amp will always be on

if you have a stock radio you will need to find a key hot wire. perhaps the fuse box is a good spot for this.

I just have 2 wires together run from the remote terminal on the amp and power cable to a switch

Okay well according to that diagram I can connect the remote wire to the antenna wire, that would work wouldnt it? The stupid wiring diagram says there is a blue wire and a green wire but nope there isn't any of that.. Can anyone help me out?..

do you have factory or aftermarket deck? the diagram is for an aftermarket deck. IF you have factory deck, then the wiring dia. is useless to you. You will need to find a key hot. But then again, if you have a factory deck how are you wiring subs...? you would need to find the speaker wires and run them to the high side of the amp. Which you will not know because factory wiring is a mess and has no rhym or reason.

Well I got a high low adapter to settle that, it is the factory EVERYTHING unfortunately.. So I have everything hooked up except for the remote wire basically.. How would I go about finding a key hot wire ?
