Default about to pull all my hair out with this damn trucks radio!!

Ok so i have been having trouble with my damn radio since i got the truck, at first my speakers would cut out randomly goin down the road so i thought it was the stock radio so i got an cheap head unit and i went and got a wiring harness for it and realized that someone have cut the OE harness out of the truck and put in a new ranger harness to put a newer OE Cd player in and that they didnt solder any of the wire together they just electrical taped them and called it good so i got them a solder and shrink warped and it worked fine til the AUX and CD player when out on the new head unit. so i got a head unit from a friend and wired up the harness but now every time i pug the new radio in it blows the radio and the audio system fuses, the radio was working in his car the day i got it from him so i would like to think it is not the radio any idea? and yes i have it wired right. I installed radios as a job for a few years and know how to hook up a radio, just cant figure out why this is happen and am a bout to say f-it and just listen to NOAA on my cb in my truck

The fuse shouldn't blow if everything is wired correctly.
But do not put a higher amp fuse where it does not belong!
My aftermarket deck has a 3 amp fuse behind the unit ,
And installing it TO my original radio wire which is 15 amp,
If something were to short out ,the Lower 3 amp fuse would blow first.

It IS also possible that there is a short in one of your speaker lines .
But... If everything is wired right,AND there is not a short from a faulty wire in the Harness or speaker

line, It must be the new deck!

I would bet that you have a short in one of the speaker lines!
Connect without speaker harness, and see if it blows

yea i have already tried it with the speakers unhooked, and i am not going to put a bigger fuse in there with out upin the wire gauge from the fuse box. up i have a feeling it is the head unit after messing with it some more. but before i call it that i am going to pull off the dash to get to the where the wires were clipped and double check all of those. but thanks for the idea i was more or less just venting yesterday.
