I concur: Those ARE the stock speakers AND connectors. I guess having those is just easier for the factory to assemble the vehicle.

I just cut mine off and added a basic connector to each wire (purchased from a home improvement store) to hook up new Pioneers in the doors and Alpines behind the seat. What I failed to notice is the speakers actually came with connector wires . All I had to do was strip the wires and connect with a female/female, and I was good to go. All was good with the way I did it and it was the same amount of time/work.
Non-stop Ranger owner: circa 1986 ('86, '92, '04). 648,000+ miles and counting. That's 1.04+ million kilometers for you north of the border.
