Default Can anyone give me more info on 6x9's?

I just bought two 6x9 boxes from my buddy for $10 and I am wanting to get a pair of speakers to put in the boxes mainly for bass. What kind are the best for bass? Will I need an amp and how would I go about wiring it all?

Don't add 6x9's if you want bass... that's what subs are for.

I know but I am only doing this because I don't want to take up much room. These boxes fit perfectly to where I can still fit two people in the back seats.

not much bass output in speakers. 6x9s will deliver a clean sound though

wire it same as a sub. 2 or 4 channel amp..bridge it if its 4. your going to want an amp. You arent going to get bass out of them.. clean sound yes bass NO. But i understand where your going. Get some kenwoods or kicker speakers, walmart brand is ok.. but not the best ratings. Oh and did u buy ur LED dome light from bugg?

yeah... or i guess you could wire them into your back speakers.. but i wouldnt recommend it. you will lose power in those. and it will all just sound shitty. Your stock radio only puts maybe 80 to 100 watts out. thats split between 4 speakers. with a max rating of 50 lets say.. so 100/4 is 25 watts per speaker. at two more and it drops to 12.5 for four in the back and 25 for the two in the front.

im sure you can. but your still only getting 100 watts maybe from your headdeck. My point is more watts more power = more sound.

Some of the reasons why I don't want to get a head unit is 1 because someone could steal it easily and 2 they're expensive lol
