I took out my jack and installed amp in plastic jack holder mounted to back wall. inconspicous, i thought and wires for subs are minimally exposed

Don't take this the wrong way. At this point, I'm very curious why you think this good about pyle. I'm not against a cheap solution with high quality sound, I have been following this thread and haven't seen anything that convinced me that pyle was a good brand.
Is it possible you know something I do not?

I base my opinion of pyle on these-
It is sold at walmart
It is 30 bucks for a pair
The proper specifications to make an effectice setup are not listed
The bright blue color (while not always a bad thing, possibly a show before go)
A search of the web and found no in depth reviews for pyle audio

I can tell you this from the specs. With a rubber surround, the speaker will last.

^from the sound of that I say just put in some new speakers, and this bad boy right here:
Boss BASS-600
If that's too much money than just throw in new speakers, like these:
Pioneer 6x8's
just get new speaker's (about $100 all said and done) and call it a day.

with your budget, it's not worth getting a subwoofer.

My dad has an older version of those pioneers in his miata. They sound pretty good. He just needed something to replace blown out 12 year-old speakers and they get the job done.

Buy a sub with the same or close rms value as the amp.

im comin up pretty late but at the start yall were talkin bout makin stuff fit, haha i put 2 12s in my ranger, 2 10s in a single cab s10 and i had 2 15s in a single cab 89 b2200.... you can make anything fit... you just gotta have a box wid the right angles... and if you built your own make sure you build your port kinda like a maze, just as long as the air as to turn and doesnt flow straight out... thats how you get a cleaner sound

^ 2 15's in a reg cab 2200? even if I did belive it (which I don't) there is no way the trucks engine could move that much weight. haha

You can do it, but no way did you have enough airspace for those 15"s.

they didnt beat as hard as they could... but i did it to prove it could be done.... they had a good sound but my 10s were beatin harder.... im friends withthe guy a show rides so he helped me build the tiniest box possible.... actually they felt good... like a lil back massage but you couldnt hear them more than 15 yards from the truck

but if your trying to be reasonable... in a single cab 10s are perfect.... actually i think memphis or kicker has some 8s out that beat and sound really good
extended cab 12s or 1 15
