Default Should I do this?

First off I'm sorry this post isn't about a ranger. However it's about a 1998 isuzu rodeo 3.2 liter v6.
Anyway. Right now I have a kicker DC12 4 ohms total rms of 300 watt and peak of 600. Running off of an amp that's pushing 250 watts rms. It hits pretty darn hard. So what I'm thinking of doing is sellin these subs and the amp to a friend for $220. And then buying a sub and amp combo. The sub is a boss 12 inch dual voice coil meant to be wired at 2 ohms. It's rated at 1250 rms and 2400 peak. The amp is matched with it so it will be pushing the correct rms the majority of the time.

So what I'm getting at is will the single 12 hit harder than what I have now? Because that's what I'm thinking. But I want to be careful about it because once I sell what I have now I can't get it back.

Thanks to any answers provided.

Regardless of the brand. I believe, on average, adding a sub will bring your decibels up about 3Db per sub. Thats just what i've researched and heard from mouth to mouth.
Regarding the 12". If you have a big enough box for that, 1200RMS is going to need a big/thick box, i theoretically it would hit harder than your 2-sub setup. I have 1-10" Kicker L7(1200W peak/600 RMS) that hits harder than my 2-12" old school Polk Momo(RMS unknown). either setup on my 2200 watt power acoustic mono block amp.
As long as its not abused, I would go for it. I like single sub setup better than mutiples.

Thanks for the replies guys. And I'm not one who abuses his speakers. I usually underpower them just because I'm scared of blowing them haha. So I think after I sell my current set up, I am gonna buy the single 12

How much money do you want to spend on a sub/amp? I can probably put together a pretty nice setup for $500 or less.
