Default amp help

i got two amps. both are the RF p1000-1bd. both of them are getting power and the indicator light is lit. the one amp makes the sub "pop" and the sub is fully extended (so i quickly shut the car off and try different configs with the speaker terminals on the amps hoping for better luck, didnt work) so i tried the other p1000-1db and it has the power light on but sub doesnt move at all, tried changing the speaker leads a few times and still no luck. Was running the amps with 4awg power and only 8awg ground (needed the wire ends for the 4awg ground). tried playing with gains and other setting with no luck hooked up to type r @2ohm
ANyone know what the problem could be or how to fix this?

Sounds like troubles with your RCA's in my opinion. There's really no excuse for it to do that except for RCA's screwing stuff up. Have you checked them?

yeah i tried everything to make sure it wasnt user error. i plugged my old amp back in and everything worked perfect. bought the amps for 300$ under the impression they were working... guess not

Do you have the RCA's plugged into the right spot? You don't happen to have it plugged into the slave input do you? Or have the switch flipped to the "slave input" setting?

almost certain it was plugged into the regular input not the passthrough. Will try that out though next time i have time to play with the amps

Yea that's really the only other thing I could think would be wrong. If that doesn't do it, try contacting RF
