noob audio questions
I just got a iPod plug in for my truck and I cant stand the way the stock speakers sound. If I were to get new speakers would I need any extra hardware? Also should I put speakers both in front and back or is just the front or just the back ok? thanks

Re: noob audio questions
its a good idea to change the oem speakers, if its in your budget i would change all 4, but be careful not to buy speakrs that demand too much power since the oem sound system will not be able to give it and its going to sound like shit.... stay clear away from speakers that demand more 20 Watts Rms. I tried it with some 30 and 40 rms and it sounded like a 1940s tube radio.

Re: noob audio questions
If you do want to get some nice speakers and maybe some tweeters you can always buy an amp and hook ur speakers up to it.
With new speakers you basically cut off the wires from the old one and plug them into the new one.

Re: noob audio questions
2 way is a speaker with a woofer and a midranger speaker inside the woofer
3 way is a speaker with a woofer a midranger and a tweeter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Get a 2 way if ur not using an amp
Get a 3 way if you plan on using an amp

Re: noob audio questions
i actually have a noob question too, so don't feel bad for asking, mine is concerning the radios dash kit. I got the kit, but I don't know how to take the radio out of the dash ( the kit is from Scosche)

Re: noob audio questions
Take the radio bezel off by taking out the screws above the HVAC panel. They're 7mm bolts. On the backside of the bezel you'll see the factory radio and it'll have metal "tabs" on each side of the headunit. Press those in and push the radio out the front of the bezel.

Re: noob audio questions
Not bad.The only disadvantage is the tweeter being installed in the door.
So unless you want to install a separate tweeter in your A-posts you'd simply get 2 or 3 ways.
