Default New Sound system in Regular Cab Ranger

Just finished install of my new amp. Amp is Dual XPE2700 2 Channel amp. Still waiting on the sub which should be here by the weekend. I had to cut the top edge of the jack cover to get it to fit. I used some steel cutters to get a straight cut.

I decided to just do the install myself after frustration talking to a custom shop that tried to convince me the ONLY amp I could fit was a $400 JL amp and an 8" JL sub box combo. Install took me about 1.5 hours so it was well worth it.

Hopefully you got a warranty on the amp. I've heard nothing but bad things about Dual. At least it was cheap. If I ever add a sub, it will be a powered bazooka tube because they're compact.

I had a Dual 4 Channel amp in my last car. Ran 4 door speakers and 2 subs and they hit hard no problems. So i have had good experience with dual. But I did buy the full 1 year replacement on it for $6.

Just finished securing amp to wall today. I used Velcro straps and it works like a charm.

Thanks guys. They really should market that box specifically for Rangers, it fits so perfectly but never comes up on any sites for boxes that fit a reg. cab Ranger.
