just wanna get some opinins on what speakers i should get. i believe they are 6 by 9's. not looking to spend too musch but let me know

get some components. i have infinity kappa 680.9 components and they sound awesome but they are on the pricey side. i would suggest either some component kicker door speakers or some 3 way kenwoods. either one sounds good

2003 ford ranger xl single cab, 5 speed 2.3l, k&n 57 series CAI, hurst equipped, 60/40 seat mod, full length exploder console, flowmaster super 10 ran out the back with 2.5 inch piping, 15x7 Cragar soft 8's,general grabber at2, kenwood kdc-x794 excelon series headunit with amped infinity kappa 6x8's with a 10 inch kicker solo classic run by a 750 watt mono block kicker amp with 2 gauge wire in a sealed box with 2.0 farad capacitor, ultra gauge and 2 kc daylighters 130 watt.

Also got the Kappas. Havent had a problem with them. I had an old set of Pioneers and the cone part ended up seperating from the cloth part. Dont know if there is a BEST but I feel you get what you pay for.

Are all ranger speakers the same? because i got an 04 ranger edge and the side speakers are starting to go. is it a 6x9 and are there aftermarket speakers that will fit that size? thnkz

when changing the speakers on the door, should i change the wiring too? and i am looking a a 7" face deck for the truck. should i look at the amps on that and pick my setup on speakers? and is an upgraded amp needed because stock ranger edges have 2 8" subs in the back.

Im pretty sure they are 6x8 not 6x9.. And id go with kenwood they always hold up and i put quite a beating on mine. Just use ebay.. And get something not walmart.. Depends what dereaction your going in..

You can use 5x7's or 6x8's, they are the same overall frame size. the only difference is size of cone area and surround. Ive used MTX Thunder Coax's, Polk audio db's, and currently using older Pioneer TS-D681R series or "revs". The new version of the Pioneer "revs" is TS-D6802R I believe. However Ive also heard the Infinity (both kappa and reference) and Polk Dxi's and they also sound good as well.

x2 theyre 6x8s or 5x7s, youd have to cut for 6x9s in the door.

i have infinity door and rear speakers, sound great and not too pricey! had them for about 2-3 years now and havent had issues, even with them getting weekly baths of mud and water!

I have pioneer 6x8's that I actually got from wallmart lol whats wrong with buying from walmart if the brand is good? I have my speakers and headunit from there, had them for 4 years now with no problems at all..

All speakers are not the same. Some reproduce some music better than others. As a child of the 60's my musical preference is guitar influenced rock. But I like old school R&B with some bass. I have found that Infinity or Alpine reproduce the rock riffs better.

I build 60's musclecars and usually put Infinity 6x9's in the rear deck and smaller Polk's in the front kick panels. That allows for some bass impact that does not take away from how rock truly sounds. A test for a good speaker is whether or not you can clearly hear the drummer. If you are at a concert you can.
