Re: which alpine sub to get?
Ok Imma look at best buy online now. i always forget about them lol. So how important is like the tuning and all that? Or should I just worry about the right internal volume of the box?

Re: which alpine sub to get?
Pics are up and in my album if you wana see the new box. It pounds btw, hits way lower than my sealed, a lot louder, and about 1/4 of the excursion lol
----------
as for tuning, I have no idea, I'm running it the same as my sealed haha, but I may do some tweaking sometime soon, maybe on the weekend.

Yeah sure man,
Sub: Alpine 10" Type R 1043D, dual 4 ohm
Box: Bassworx Ported box for 10" model # HPR10
Amp:Alpine MRP M500
RMS:500W rms @ 2ohm (sub is bridged to run 2ohm)
Head Unit: Alpine CDA-117
Any other questions, let me know man. Also, the sub is behind the passenger seat, like the dual jackhammers in my pics, because its nicer to just open the back door on the drivers ride and throw my bag/work boots in, rather than walk around.

Yea i have that amp, and a 12" type r but it was a 500 rms, and it started Bottoming out so I sold it back to the guy. Thanks again, and I'm lookin for a box still but I like the one u got. But u don't know if its 1.4 cubic feet? Cuz I think that's wat I seen the ten inch wants

Re: which alpine sub to get?
This one is a 1.25 cu/ft, and its tuned to 43 hz or something (I know not the sub spec) but I don't care, I don't run it full out anyway. So far, its almost double what my sealed box was, and hits a lot lower. I am happy with it, just gotta adjust the amp and ill be good to go (gain set too high now)

Re: which alpine sub to get?
Well I read somewhere that runnin a sub in a box that wasnt around the right size would destroy it eventually. But I guess not if u don't power it fully. But ok ill get me a box one way or another
Thanks everybody
