is there a way i could hook a ipod cable to the stock 6-cd head unit? i dont want a after market head unit but would like to be able to connect my ipod directly to my radio. ive never been happy with the reception of those fm transmitter things

I have a Scosche IPFMRDS unit in my '04 that works great. It's still technically an FM modulator, but it hooks directly into the antenna lead. Absolutely crystal clear. Kinda pricey (around $150 from Crutchfield) but well worth it in my opinion.
