Hello! I'm new to the forum. 03 Ranger XLT 3.0
I've got a Pioneer headunit, jl 250.1 amp, hooked to a alpine 10" type s sub. Eclipse speakers in the back 2, and the front two speakers are stock. For some reason my left speaker just doesn't play any sound! I have no idea why, I even took out the speaker and replaced it with two others to see if maybe it had blew out, nope. It seems everything is plugged into the back of the headunit (that I can see), and the module plug into the speaker in the door. Any ideas what could be wrong?

check the speaker itself...might be blown. I have an 08 ranger that i bought new and blew my speakers in 3 months....or the wiring harness...mine was absolutely shot to hell.

I already replaced the speaker with two others and none of them worked. How can I tell if it's the wiring harness?

ill tell you what worked for me, im not sure if it will work for you. After i replaced the speakers i still lost sound intermittently (sp?) i pulled the whole console off (the big plastic piece around the air vents and AC controls) and looked inside...i noticed that the speaker came on as i pulled the panel away and the wires straightened out. I wiggled the wires around and found that there must have been a connection missing somewhere..its hard to explain but basically i just wiggled the wires around..if you wiggle the wires and get sound cutting in and out..then you need to replace the harness...$20 at best buy

check for continuity between the speaker wires and the harness behind the radio to ensure that they didn't get severed somewhere.

Well! Opened the back of the headunit, there was one small wire labeled left front speaker that was plugged in, but I guess it wasn't pushed in hard enough. Gave it a push in and it worked! Wow...
