Default Pioneer, Alpine and Sony for a budget friendly HU

I'm replacing my trans ams head unit with something decent to say the latest. I've been looking around a while at a new head unit and still can't pick one. I'm trying to keep the HU price under $100 or so(I can go a bit more if its really worth it) and an aux port would be nice and an equalizer of some sorts (more than 3 band if I can). Some of the HU's I was looking at were the Pioneer deh-1300MP, Sony Xplod CDX-GT250MP, and I haven't looked much into Alpine. I have an older Sony Xlod in my Ranger and its pretty good but I wish I could fine tune it more as it only has a 3 band eq. Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome, thanks for the input.

I should also add my trans am has a 500w 10 channel amp, with 4 channels going to HU, in the trunk and the stock HU is a 1.5 DIN. I already know I need a wiring adapter, antennta adapter and an adapter to fit a 1 DIN HU in its place.

I like the Pioneer too, but this Sony has higher RMS and peak watts and a 7 band eq for the same price.

kenwood FTW. i just got a kenwood kdc-x794 and its the excelon series and blew my sony xplode away. the kenwood improved my bass response and made my door speakers louder and cleaner sounding and i got it for $150 and it was only last years model.

KENWOOD
