Re: single cab 96 ford ranger...subwoofers
^^^that doesnt look like a 93-97 which has a tiny area behind the seats. I am in the same boat and i want full range of seat movement as well as not having to remove my rear speaker(s) so i am building my own box same as this http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewi...646&show_tab=3 only bad thing is i think it requires a shallow sub. Seems like the best bet. Just a suggestion if it works for you.

I'm getting ready to make a custom fiberglass enclosure. The older rangers have a lot more room behind the seats then the new ones like mine.

Re: single cab 96 ford ranger...subwoofers
No actually the 93-97 ones have next to no room. Its kinda sad actually. The 98-00ish ones have a few extra inches. If you google pics and look just behind the door the 93-97 have maybe 2" the 98s and such have maybe 5 or 6. I never noticed it before. Im building a box ~4" at the top and 7 or 8 at the bottom. Thats all i have.

Re: single cab 96 ford ranger...subwoofers
I have less then that. The floor behind the seats is raised 5 inches or so and is only 6 or so deep at the bottom. And I am kinda tall so my seat has to be almost all the way back.

Re: single cab 96 ford ranger...subwoofers
if you want a good sounding system i would go with 1 10 in a ported box, everyone is gonna say 2 10s in a sealed box is gonna be better but its not, trust me, the 1 10 i have in my ranger in a ported box hits harder then the 2 10s i have in my f150 in a sealed box, both have the same amount of cubic feet and the ranger hits much harder and also sounds better with the ported box

Re: single cab 96 ford ranger...subwoofers
Depends on the music too but I've heard one ported out perform 2 sealed before myself too.
Back to the OP, these are ridiculously expensive but perhaps could be reverse engineered if you're short on cash.

Fuck it, just cut the bed out...then you got all the room you will ever need. Then you're only worry will be to not go so big your truck rattles apart.
