Default Audio problem.

Okay so this is my truck.

But it got broken into recently and they took my head unit.
With the head unit that was in my truck it didn't need a wiring harness.

So I bought a new head unit just like the one I had. But it needed a wiring harness. So I bought one and connected all the wires. I start up my truck and it turns on and everything and music will play. Then I can crank it up loud but then when heavy bass kicks in it stops and only my subs play I have no clue what to do.

Could be a short in the wires to your mids. On a base hit there could be an arc making the amps channel to reset. Could also be the vibration of the sub causing the mids to arc out against the vehicle.

Check the amp on a bass hit and see if the amp light goes out if it has one. Check the wires at the speakers and at the amps. Sometimes there's that one little wire that didn't get in the connector and with enough bass it can arc to another screw or a pannel on the vehicle. Or it could be a loose connection and on a bass hit it shifts.

Just my guesses.

It sounds like you are over doing the amp in the head unit throwing it into a safety mode

That sounds like a good possibility. I redid some settings, and it hasn't happened yet.
