Question What is Primary Wire?

Just wondering what exactly primary wire is and is it okay for a remote wire for my amp?

Yes, primary wire is ok for your amp remote. I believe primary is mainly used for things that will be constantly being powered or moderate amperage draw.
I dont know exactly, FireRanger will eventually come in and explain correctly

Okay. Another question. Do I just connect the primary wire from my amp to the remote wire on my headunit?

Yes connect the wire to the remote from the headunit and then connect the wire to the remote on the amp, (BTW normally this is the last thing you do in installing a system to prevent accidental turn on when installing.)

Yes to all of the above. Primary wire is just a fancy way of saying single conductor, insulated, and somewhat rugged wire for providing power to your stuff. This as opposed to, for example, speaker wire, which people seem to love using to power high current devices and burn shit down to the ground.

The amp turn-on would be very very low current if anything. So I'm sure whatever you have is more than adequate for the task.
