Weird wires in my dash while installing help!
So. The wires in my dash for a stereo are just plain because the kid who owned the truck before me cut out the factory harness for some reason. I got the wire diagram from STL for my 1993 and I began to install a new factory harness. I have a few questions and comments about it.
1. Why are the Left Front Speaker Negative and the Right Front Speaker Negatives both Black with White stripe? Do I connect both the RFS and the LFS to the single Black/White wire?
2. It says that the Left Rear Negative and Right and Right Rear Positive both are a Pink with Blue stripe. My truck doesn't even have a Pink/Blue wire in it to connect to.
After I soldered all of the wires I could, there were still 7 wires left that I have no idea what they're for.
I have the following CONNECTED: Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Green/Yellow, Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow/Black, Radio Illumination Wire: Blue/Red, Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Orange/Green, Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): White/Green, Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Pink/Green, Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Green/Orange (Thanks STL)
I have the following UNCONNECTED: Radio Ground Wire: Chassis, Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Black/White, Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Black/White, Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Pink/Blue, Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Pink/Blue
These are the colors of the wires that are UNUSED IN MY DASH: Orange w/ Black stripe, Orange w/ Red stripe, Tan or Light Brown w/ Yellow stripe, Light Blue w/ White stripe, Black w/ Green stripe (It's also thicker than the others. Guessing around 16g), Solid Black, and Speaker Wire.
If someone can tell me how to finish up that would be great.
Oh and I have an Alpine CDA-105 head unit not that it really matters..
