Wal-Mart has some speaker boxes you could use.

I pulled some Bose 6x9's from the rear of a mid 90's Volvo, they have a rectangular grill on them already.

The magnet is strong enough to hold them to the back of my truck (no interior panels), and they bump enough for a tiny little regular cab '83.

I have (1) 5.25" in the dash, no room for another, between the 3 it's more than enough for that little truck, and will bump when equalized out

Yea it sounds pretty damn good honestly. It's not show car by any means but with poor door seals I can still here the radio crisp and clear at 85mph (4500RPMs)

It came with a 4 or a 4.5" in the dash on the passenger side. I removed it from the top and put a 5.25" in no problem, used a pocket knife for a little mittering out of the foam but thats it.

If you got creative you could put another 5.25 in the driver side dash but you'd have to come from below and cut ahole in the dash top and push it up into it and have a grill cover on it.

I'm thinking about it so I can have matched pairs of speakers and make my head unit a little happier but it sounds fine right now

Thumbs up Re: where to put these 6x9s....

Behind the seats. But then again I have a single cab. I'm trying to put some new 12" subwoofers in, but can't figure out how to install. Any ideas help a lot. Peace

if u have a ext cab u can bolt the 6x9s on your roof in the back corners in the lil boxes at wallmart with a couple L brackets they also make a custom box for that lil more pricey tho! As for the 12 In the single cab for my buddies s10 we built a box that went in between his bucket seats it was awesome because it was a vented box and a dual cup holder! Completely custom plus u can paint to match your truck

That sounds like a good idea for the sub!

I was wondering how to shove a little 10 in my truck and I could totally shove it in the center console under my stuff
