Hey so this is my first post so if I did anything wrong tell me haha. Okay so the deal is I bought this truck from some kid and it didn't have a head unit installed but it still came with one. The head unit is a Kenwood KDC-MP228. I'm going to install this myself (I have never installed a stereo before) and I was looking at the wiring harness and it doesn't seem to match up with the 1993 Ford harnesses I've seen because both the grey and the black pieces have extra plugs on them and I'm not sure what they are for. I will be installing one 12" sub/amp as well with this. Here are some pictures of what I am talking about as well as a picture of my dash:
Okay so after all that I guess what I want to know is what are those things on the wiring harness and will it work with my 93 Ranger XLT 4x4.
Thanks in advance

ok so the plugs that you are looking at are aftermarket wiring harness the reason they have 2 plugs is so the manufacture can produce them to work with several different vehicles and try to keep their costs as low as they can... but from the looks of the pics the person you bought the truck off of did a hack job on the factory harness. and to hook up the head unit you'll either have to A) go to a jy and get a harness for your truck for the factory stereo or B) trial and error on the wires to get it hooked up right.
