Exclamation Subwoofer Question

When i start my truck up my subs kinda like bump(softly) a little and then when i turn my headunit on the bump loud. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Do you think its interference with the Power Wire thats hooked up to the battery? I have like 4 things hooked up to the battery terminal including the power wire. If anyone has any ideas please type it. I can take pictures of anything you want to see.

it's not really a big issue, it's just the power kicking on to the amp to the sub. mine used to do it, I turned my gain down on my amp, doesn't do it anymore.

Then I guess just deal with it for now lol. I don't think it's anything serious, but maybe someone with more knowledge of systems will post in here and be able to help you out a little better

I've installed a few systems in my truck and some friends cars. They do this before you tune the amp. You had to mess with the gain and bass level and stuff. Idk specific terminology and in all honesty idk a lot about sound systems, but adjusting the gain and bass level has fixed it for me

Cool thanks for the responses guys. I can deal with it, im just making sure im not hurting anything. In a couple weeks im going back and im getting a 4way amp and another set of speakers and get them to hook that shit up and at that time ill be like "Yo, the subs pops blah blah blah.". But yea the amp is tuned to 1ohm and shit so thats why i dont want to fuck with it lol

Tuned to 1 ohm? An amp doesnt get tuned to a certain ohm. Ohms are achieved by the way you setup your subs. in series or in parallel. And then connected to the amp weather its bridged or not. By adjusting the gain a little bit is going to hurt your subs or affect anything. IF it was my guess you have the gain to HIGH and thats why your hearing it. If you turn the gain down a little bit it should get rid of the thump at start up. Are your subs able to go as low as 1 ohm. I dont know if that matters but maybe if your subs are lets say DVC 4ohm subs they are supposed to be at 2 ohms i believe and maybe the 1 ohm is making the thump(thats just a shot in the dark)

Umm.... subs are any ohm stable. It's the amp you have to worry about. I had a problem like this before and my issue was my RCA's. Do you have your RCA's running near your power wire?

I'm not really getting how you guys are saying the gain is his problem. My gain is pretty far up on my amp and I don't have any whining.
