i had an pioneer cd player in my last truck, and then i had a front end collision. afterwards when the tow man came to get my truck he had to turn the key on to unlock the steering wheel and my stereo blared. a lil while later i took out all my stereo equipment i had put in. then a week or so later when i got another one and eventually tried to reinstall my stereo in it, it wouldnt work at all. no lights sound or nothing.
my thing is why on earth would it not work? the fuse is good and its grounded the same way and uses the same wiring harness. AND it worked after the wreck.
i dont get it....

Perhaps it needs a special code to unlock it, I know some manufacturers require codes qhen you unplug the battery or disassemble the sound system. ( i don't know if it helps).

Thanks for trying lol but I put it in and took it out several times myself and still worked. So that's not it...
If this helps anything the original truck was a 2001 and the one i tried to put it in after is a 1998
