The ex cabs have about 6-8 inches more room than the reg cab does.

yeah if you are about 5' tall..... the seats are shown almost all the way forward in that pic.

If you want big bass you will need to build your own box.
I did this in an extended cab. It takes up very little space and sounds great, imo.
However, f I were to do it again, I would have made the speakers front firing,

this is how I have my two 10's in my truck. Fits good and my seats go all the way back
