Gonna be hard pressed to find a box for a normal 12 in a regular cab. Unless, of course, you can run your seat up several clicks in the track.
Other-wise, you only have about 7.5 - 8.0 inches of room back there at the bottom. (not a lot to play with)

I'm 5'1" so the seat is up all the way to the front.

I think if you did it in a slanted, sealed box it would fit fine behind your seat.

I was Unable to get the 12" sub to work out as I wouldn't have the right air space for it to properly work so i found this nice KICKER OEM TRUCK 8" LOADED SUB BOX W/ AMP AND SUB which is an 8" Kicker sub and 100 Watt Amp. brand new for $100 includes 1yr warranty, couldn't pass up it up for what i was saving on it. we found out once it got to the house that it was actually designed for a Toyota Tacoma, But it works awesome in My ranger.

Bump...Interested in the sound quality here also. I have a 12" kicker box in my 2008 reg cab now, and since I'm 5'9" tall (or short) I'm pressed for space. My old a$$ can't handle the knees in face much longer.

@major376- some subs require more airspace than others, airspace is required for a sub to hit, its like breathing if the sub doesn't have the right airspace it won't hit like it should or it can blow its box apart.

@evmaster88 & akhenaten- the quality is very good on the sub it is a kicker, being in a regular cab I am not going to crank it up to where you hear me from a block away. it gives you enough bass the car next you will notice. and you can place the seat all the way back and not have a problem with you knees in your face. my hubby can drive my truck with no problem of this.
