Ya kinda seems pointless sense you are right there by them anyways.
I always had the front door speakers in my 03 ranger down lower then the back ones.

OK but I should still keep the fader control dead center right? Seems that full front does make them sound louder, lol.

I pulled mine out but my sub box, batteries, and amps cover them up anyways lol. I run an 2-way active in my front doors and A-pillars anyways, I don't really need the rears with 2 6.5s and 2 tweeters up front.

I went from XL (2 speakers) and put some in the rear, it made a lot of difference! I like them. Then came the sub...

I wouldn't say pointless.
Every speaker contributes, i find the back speakers good for depth.
Of course, if you use an amplified sub and flood the cabin, forget about quality of sound lol.
