Oh and what kinda door speakers are you talking about? Image Dynamics? I'd recommend some Pheonix Gold RSD6.5's. For $90 a pair, you can't beat em.

Let me just say I have a hookup

I cannot for the life of me remember what brand the amp is... I know the model starts with an E, but I can't find the pix i took the night i visited the audio shop anywhere. Only gunna run 300 watts into the sub, but with the way the DD speakers hit in the DD box, that will be more than plenty for me. Most power is in the first 100 watts anyways. Plus, i'm going for audio quality, not mad bass.

Hybrid audio makes the imagines. They're DAMN good speakers for the price.

Thanks for the responses guys. Sorry I haven't replied myself. Regardless, what I have in mind is just something small. I have an 08 Nissan Altima that I went more in depth on, i.e. crossovers, multiple amps, 12" subs, etc. but with this just being more of a weekend driver I wanted something simple. Small and compact would be the way I would like to go, maybe an 8" or 10". I am scheming some ideas right now. Thanks again for the replies again. Any pics of speakers in that cavity would be great as well.

OP if you want something like an 8" on say... 500w+ I recommend one of these:

In the right ported box, it'll sound great on any kind of power you throw at it.

I would reccommend the Digital Designs 8" with the factory enclosure and 500W. It packs quite a punch for an 8" speaker!
