Default Speaker Issues

When I tun my radio up more then about half way, it will play and then a few moments later the speakers will die, if I wait a few minutes with the radio off, they will work again...

Have any ideas why?

Everything stock or aftermarket? You have a ranger with the upgraded audio package either?

I recently installed a new Kenwood KDC-BT858U along with four new Kenwood Speakers. I have an issue with the Bluetooth streaming from my Android. If I turn the volume up past a certain point while streaming the music become muffled and is overpowered by a noise resembling white noise on a television screen. Is there a reason behind this and if so is there a soultion? I am driving a 1994 Ranger XLT 4.0 4WD.

It's only through the Bluetooth source when this happens. Never through tuner, either usb, or aux.

Is Bluetooth louder than the other sources at the same volume? Check your EQ settings on ALL sources. Kenwood has made it so their head units come boosted right out of the box when you power them on. Also, check for source volume settings. BT may be turned up too high in the head unit. This is pretty common for most head units. You can also try turning down the volume in your phone while streaming to see if this eliminates the problem. If it does, then something else in the head unit is probably turned up and is over loading the internal amp. Do you ever get a "protect" or "check speaker" message? If so, you need to check all your speakers again to make sure you aren't shorted out somewhere.

It was a bad bluetooth receiver in the head unit. I sent it back to Crutchfield and they sent me another.
