Default Recommended subwoofer?

Looking for a good sound system but I don't want it to be ridiculously bassy. I have 2 12s from my previous Dodge Durango but figured that'd be too much for a standard cab ranger.
Should one 10in be enough?

Also depends if your gonna go ported or sealed.

1 10 in a sealed box should be okay.

What are your amp specs? Maybe we can figure out what's best for you if we know what kind of power you are willing to push.

1 alpine type r 10 will do the trick. its what i've got in my extended cab with an alpine 500w mono block amp pushing it.

Wow good job finding that enclosure with sub included for that price. Most vendors make you pay more than that for just the custom fit box! As far as the amp and the sub matchin up... it depends. If that sony is 600w rms it may be easy to blow that sub if u crank your gain up too much(but then again the mtx may be underrated and the amp overrated). If that is peak/max power then it prob won't be a problem and that mtx may thump like a beast.

Just buy something like a 10" Kicker off Ebay and build yourself a small little sealed(or ported) box and be done with it. You'll pay no more than $100 for a 10" Kicker and the materials to build yourself a box.

10" kicker comp on 150 watts rms in a 1.321 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz... inexpensive and my friend has that but on only 75 watts in a box i designed and built and it is stupid loud for what it is... or type r on 500 (lil more pricey but is a lot louder)
