Kicker has some great subs. just dont go buy the cheapest one out there. I run MTX..I have a 12" thunder 7500. its in a larger ported box but it sounds great. cant go wrong with a decent priced Kicker, MTX, Alpine etc...

Sundown SA-12 for the sub. And an Audiopipe 1800 for the amp. Don't do Kicker, Alpine, MTX, etc. You can get much better stuff for almost the same price.

See i was just thinking about getting one of these but i just dont understand what you want to look for when buying a sub. There are 12" subs that are like 500 and some that are like 80 bucks. All i notice is they have different wattage outputs.

Don't do a JL sub. Get the equipment I told you about. It'll run you like $450-$500 for everything. (Sub, Amp, Wiring Kit) Oh and get a 2g wiring kit.

alpine, jbl, jl audio, kicker, mtx, rf, pioneer, and kenwood... honestly nothing wrong with them, they are not the best for your buck but in a proper box they all can sound decent... memphis, re audio, audioque, dd audio, mb quart, fi audio are all better quality but it depends on your needs...

a single type r on 500 watts is really the best bet...
its common but it has a good balence of sq and loudness

That setup will slam. I have a buddy who has that same equipment and I love it.(that's why I recommended it) Plus, that sub sounds great in a 1.8ft^3 box that's tuned to about 35hz. And I love my Audioque. It wasn't crazy expensive. I think I paid $220 shipped for it?
