new ranger, what first?

i just picked up a 2004 ranger xlt

im debating between buying new speakers, or a head unit first. eventually they will all be replaces, but on my current budget ive layed out i am looking to purchase either a head unit or some new front speakers (rear ones will be replaces in a wee bit)

any advice welcome
