Default Need some subwoofer help

Got these new Alpine type R subwoofers. My last set of sub just had 2 connections. These have 4 and then have jumper wires.

I am confused on which one to use.

This is the set up I got 1 amp two subs.

Here are the jumper wires

Connections on the speaker.

easy.. you have the type r model SWD-1043D, on that wiring diagram its actually designated for your particular model type-r (they make 2) which is why the diagram is so confusing. what amp are you running and what is the ohm load that its capable of handling?

Ya I realized they made 2 after looking for answers. they make a 2 ohm and 4 ohm

My amp that powers these is

Details:

* mono subwoofer car amplifier
* 1,500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (2,000 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)
* variable low-pass filter (50-200 Hz, 24 dB/octave)
* variable bass boost (0-12 dB, 30-80 Hz)
* selectable subsonic filter (off, 15, 30 Hz; 24 dB/octave)
* Next-Generation V-Power Class D amp with MOSFET power supply
* CEA-2006 compliant
* speaker- and preamp-level inputs
* gold-plated screw terminals
* 0/1-gauge power and ground leads recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier

You have one choice and that is to do that example 4 (series/parallel) which is a 4 ohm load which would give it 1500 watts rms... (2ohm dvc type r's could be wired at 2 ohm and make full use of ur amps 2-ohm stability)

if u wired it to 1ohm giving you ~3000 watts (parallel/parallel) you would overwork your amp and need to replace it.

Im more confused now then I was before.

I just need to know which wire to plug in and which slots to plug in the wires from the amp.

jumpers in the middle (two middle holes, connect them(do it to both subs)) and on one sub run a wire from far left - to amp and from that same - run a wire to the other subs - far left and then run a wire from far right + to the amp and from same + far right run to other sub + far right. there ya go, 4 ohm load.

----------

oh and i misread something and put that it would be 750 watts at 4ohm which is wrong, sorry my bad.

Yea they will each get 750 watts.. they will bump hard in a proper box.

Hope to see some vids of these things flexin'... jus don't forget to break them in properly, just be easy for a week or two and play some single note tones like ~50hz for 10 mins at a time gradually turning up the volume to loosen up the subs suspension.

I will get video of them soon.

I am building my own box. Ranger101 got me a guy to design a box and it is "tuned" for my truck. Some fancy stuff. I will be building it this week and wrapping it in carpet.

I leaned my lesson on my last set of subs. I didn't break them in I had to replace one after 4 days.
