I just bought almost the same speakers. Pioneers, but they are a slightly different model (Pioneer TS-D6802R). Purchased them from Sonic Electronix:

Waiting for the Dynomats to come in to install them. Don't want to have to take off the door panels twice.

I was this close (<----holding index finger and thumb about 2 millimeters apart) to buying the Alpine Type S SPS-507

Ok, today I just finished installing the Pioneers that I ordered with the Dynamat sound proofing.

Naked door

with Dynamat/holes cut

Insert lay over

I don't think there is any comparison

Someone needs to clean their upholstery...seriously.

With Speaker installed

Finished Product Passenger side. You can see the speaker nicely through the vent.

The sound quality is stupid good. Higher highs (clean too), great mid-base out of those things. The door sounds a lot (yes, "a lot" is two words) more solid when I shut it now, as well. I will update tomorrow with the 12" Hifonics and 1000 watt Boss amp behind the seat.

Looking real good man! I need to update my door panels as well. Where did you get the dynomat and how much did that cost you?

I ordered them through Amazon (directly). No tax, no shipping. $46.99. Everywhere else I looked was more expensive and had shipping charges. Some were as high as $100 for the same kit. Got here in about 5 days with the basic shipping method (free). Dynamat has specific kits they sell, i.e. doors, trunk, floor, ceiling, hood, etc. Make sure you get the right one, they are labeled. The door kit has 12 sq.ft. of material. I used about 85-90% of it (not including what I cut away for the speakers and holes for the panels.

Painted my radio housing while I was at it.

Not bad for under $20.
