Default Shallow sub setups?

Hey all!
I've been looking into upgrading my sound system a bit, and I've been taking a good look at shallow subs (the JL Audio TW5 13" stands out to me), but I'm looking into how the whole thing can work out.
My truck is an extended cab, and I want to take up as absolutely little space as possible, and I like to keep things neat and clean. Any suggestions or examples of hookups that are minimal in space without sacrificing sound quality?
Also, what kind of amp should I be looking for? I have another 4 6x8 3-ways already in the truck, not sure if that's at all relevant. I'm not too familiar with car audio =P
Thanks for any help!

It depends on how many subs you want. What size of a box your sub/subs require. I also have an extended cab but I don't care so much about the space back there (not going to torture someone to sit back there lol) but I have 2 12" Polk momos in an oversized porter box back there .the shallow mount subs don't take much box space though, as for amp go with a monoblock!

I have a 10" kenwood shallow mount and I build a box to fit between the jump seats. You have to take out the jack storage setup, I just put it all in a tool box in the back. Takes up NO extra space. Sounds awesome. The sub can handle 1000watts, my amp puts out 800 at peek... sounds great.

Sorry for the late reply! Had finals and I had to make the drive back to so cal for winter break this weekend.
Definitely! I only plan on having the single sub in the back, in the center. I'll definitely look into taking out the jack casing, but if I did, I'd DEFINITELY have to look into fabricating cup holders, since I often have my truck packed with people, and long trips DEMAND those holders, haha.
I definitely think I'm going for one of the Rockford Fosgate amps I saw at a local car stereo shop. It was super compact, and I could probably get it to fit under one of the seats.

I have always been told that for multiple subs you want a 2 channel. This is so you get a cleaner power and sound to each sub.
