Default Re: Sirius Radio

I had the free 6 months subscription, it expired in october.

The novelty wore off quickly for me. I grew tired of all the ads on the stern channel, there were WAY too many channels i wasn't interested in, and those i liked didn't have much to offer.

I don't use the truck often. I've had it for 8 months now and drove 8000kms or so. Paying 15$/m for 3 channels is not worth it for me (even 5$/m wouldn't be an automatic yes). The antenna positionning didn't make sense for me either, it just looks out of place there. I'm waiting a bit and switching to a media unit in the future.

Wish we had hd radio stations here.

It really comes down to personal preferance, I have had my sirius for about 3 years now and i still love it. Since your from Ontario Sirius Canada offers free online listening so even if you dont drive much you can still listen online in your home.

I just cannot see paying that kind of money to listen to music that should be free .
I let mine and on my wifes car expire and we keep getting calls to resign back up free and like some of you , the price went down.

Sorry not for us as we drive to work and come home .
I just changed over from cassettes to CD's ....
I'll listen to my CD's ....

sirius is not free, and shouldnt be free, due to the fact that it is commercial free, if you wanna listen to 20-30 minutes of commercials and 40-30 minutes of music/hour then yes its free

Sirius isnt free cause its a service. Just like your internet or phone bill or cable, you pay it ever month for its services, sirius is no different.

I do agree they play alot of the same songs but if i get tired of listening to them I just change to another genre

I have had my new ranger all of 2 weeks now... Live across the street from my shop so I walk to work, When I lived in the NWT, with hours between communities that didn't have radio stations anyway the sirius thing was nice - auto renew every year I think for 150 bucks. Now that I live in Dawson Creek there are local stations, not much to choose from, and the only time I do listen to sirius is on a road trip... which has been once in the last year... hardley worth it...

I liked it in the 6 month trial but not enough to pay the high price they wanted... after it expired I got better offers and final got it again for 5 months when I received a renewal offer of 5 months for $20 cdn... I'd be happy to pay $4 a month but won't keep it going at the $'s the want normally

When the offer ends call them to "cancel" just throw out there that you would be willing to keep it if it was cheaper. We did that and got for both vehicles at 15 bucks a month

I tried that when my first trial expired and they offered me not much at all but forsure i'll be trying again. Two cars for 15 would be ok

It may be able to move. Mine is just a antenna with a magnet on the bottom. Try to gently pull it up. If I recall though the wiring goes through the roof so it is hidden.

so you are saying there is a wire attached to it? in that case I don't think you could move it or you would have the wire to deal with and a hole in the roof.
