Default Need help with head unit

Hey, im buying 2 memphis 12's and a memphis 500 watt amp. i was wondering if a stock head unit in a 99 ranger has sub jacks to hook them up to??? Thanks yall

I don't believe so, not 100%, but why not spend a little bit more money and get a new head unit that will not only be of better quality but will help the sound of your truck tremendously?
Even something super cheap will be better in my opinion

i will most likely get a pioneer head unit but i was trying to see if i can run the subs until i get the new one. lol

The factory headunit does not have pre-amp outputs. If I were you, I'd buy the headunit first.

you can buy a converter, high to low, with RCA outs,,, until you can purchase an after market head unit

Line-out convertor, $30-$40.... cheapo headunit with pre-amp outputs, Craigslist, $50-$75.... LOL

ya if i would have to buy the convertor i would rather just buy a head unit. lol im going to the junk yard on friday to pick the brand new pioneer my friend put in his tacoma before he flipped it. lol hopefully it will be pretty cheap

so i was at walmart today and they had a pioneer head unit and 4 6.5" pioneer speakers all for 85 bucks. i think im going to get them this week or next. the head unit is a dxt2266ub if anyones has one or knows anything about can ya lemme know how ya like it? lol

Why pay extra for some speakers you cant use with the pioneer box set, Wally world also has a Sony head unit for @ $76.00+tax.
