I have access to a 95 explorer for parts.#1.)Radio question:if I disconnect it(oem)tapeplayer w cd changer. Will the unit fire back up when i put it in my new 2004 ranger or is it one of those radios that have an anti theft feature(dealer has to re-initialize it BS?)
I want the radio and CD changer because I have all my music on CD's and I'm too old to learn all this new mp3 WMP thumb-drive mumbo jumbo.

I'm guessing that on a 95 expo, it won't have any anti-theft... so it should fire back up in the new truck as long as your connections are the same.

I used the scochi(sp) wire adaptor thing to install my sony so my oem ford plug is still intact.The plugs look the same .(fingers crossed)

Another quick question please,is the radio on a95 explorer eddie bower edition really in the rear cargo area,behind that panel stuck up next to the passenger side speaker?

The radio will be in the dash, but... in the general location you mentioned (above the pass side wheel well), you should find the OEM amplifier (if equipped) as well as the alarm control module/keyless entry module.

At least that's what I found there in the 98 expo xlt I stripped this summer.
