Default stereo problem

i know im not working on a ranger, but i figured you guys could help.

i am working on my girls 02 tacoma, she got a new deck so i wanted to take her old one out and put the new one in, got the install kit and a stock wiring diagram so i know what color wires do what. stereo worked when i took it out, installed the power, acc, and the ground tried to turn on the new stereo and nothing... so i checked fuses, they are all fine, then i hooked up a solid ground to the body, still nothing, so i hooked up the 3 wires to the old deck and same problem... any ideas?

i am thinking its probably the wrong wires and the diagram i printed out was wrong but idk...

Did you hardwire it by splicing the factory wiring harness?

you could use fuse taps and just tap them into something that runs on the accessory switch. thats how i originally had my remote wire on my amp.

i thought the battery wire only is used to keep the memory powered and the acc wire was what powered the device... or do i have that backwards?

You could always just run a new power wire into say your windshield wiper fuse place. you don't use them that often and it will supply enough power and will always turn on when your turn on the vehicle.

no.. if you cant handle the simple task of wiring in an adapter, take it to a professional.

NO.. NO NO NO NO NONONONONONO.

NO. people that do this are not only stupid, but deserve when their shit catches on fire.

Ben10... check all of your fuses. ALL OF THEM. Even though it may not look blown, it probably is. Be sure to check all the fuse box locations as well. I'm fairly positive that you clipped all the wires from the factory harness at once, causing your fuse to blow. Most people wouldnt clip the harness.. BUT, seeing that your intelligence level wasnt too high to begin with.. I'll believe it.

if you cant find constant power, take it to a professional.
